About  Cassie.

Hey All, and thanks for making it here. Chances are if you've found my site you may know a bit about my work, but most likely not ALL that I can do. So here's my chance to brag.

As a multimedia artist, I don't like to claim one medium, and I certainly don't like to stick to one medium of work for too long. Currently I'm building my ceramic and fired clay knowledge, an endeavor that I'm sure will take up many years of my time (which might be why I'm enjoying it so much!). Before beginning my current concentration , I worked mostly with materials in the fiber art and textile field, with a strong interest in embellishing and leatherwork. Those mediums have allowed me to:

Build a line of unisex fashion fits made from recycled and reused materials. This culminated in a fashion show with sanitation workers from Savannah, Georgia as my models. 2008

Create a collection of Cotton swatches exemplifying ways to reuse cotton and continue it's useability. This culminated to winning a 2nd place prize in a contest with Cotton Inc.

Design leather bags for Victoria Leather Factory and their clients. 2009-2013

Develop and produce a personal line of leather accessories from 2013 until 2018

Became a Resident Artist with Philadelphia's Cherry Street Pier which has allowed me to install murals, curate art shows, and participate in special events at the pier with a behind the scenes pass. I've now moved on to be an ongoing Programming Partner with Cherry Street Pier and the Delaware River Waterfront Company.

Craft an 8 foot tall Troll included in the New Jersey Troll Trek organized alongside Thomas Dambo's 'Big Rusty' Hainesport, New Jersey Troll

Expanded my knowledge into the ceramic arts. Awarded Scholarships and Opportunities to attend clay conferences in Richmond: VA, Nashville: TN, St George: Utah, Chicago: IL and hopefully more coming soon!

This snapshot of accomplishments are a small selection of my most notable projects (or maybe just the one's that I have photos of ), but is far from complete. As a maker and crafter I strive to be jack of every trade there is; I want to someday make a complete collection of works using all my best skill sets. Until I have the dedicated time to make that dream come true- I'll stick to switching mediums when the inspiration pulls me, and sharing them with anyone who will listen!
