The first of our once monthly events with Upstairs at Abyssinia we'll be hosting a Paper Marbling workshop for the month of January! Look forward to a different craft every 3rd Sunday of the month at 229 South 45th Street on the second floor.
The Event Specifics: Cassie Jones (me, I'm Cassie!) will be bringing all necessary supplies to create some fun marbling patterns in all sorts of colors onto paper. The inks we are using will not hold colorfast onto fabric for washing so paper only is best. Feel free to bring your own paper, keeping in mind that we may have to cut your paper down to size for our workspace. It is free to participate while supplies last with a suggestion donation of $10 per person. Each person should be able to complete 3-5 pieces of paper and we will have colored pencils and markers to continue decorating your paper pieces. I encourage you to bring whatever additional tools and supplies that you'd like to use and share with the group! If you would like to guarantee a space for yourself you can donate $10 ahead of time HERE The Space Specifics: Abyssinia is an Ethiopian restaurant on the first floor, and a small venue (I say venue, think more row-home livingroom) and a fully stocked cash only bar on the second floor (I say fully stocked, I mean a generous cocktail list with fun combos for ~$14 each and a can/bottled beer selection that you don't find often). Enter at 229 South 50th Street, continue directly up the stairs to the second floor, turn right for the bar, far left for the craft coven event, and find a couple bathroom doors between the two.
